Delta Rho Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Brothers of the Delta Rho Chapter celebrated their 10th Anniversary on the evening of Saturday, January 10th 2009 at the Sheraton Suites Plantation during the Province IV Winter 2009 Conclave. The keynote speakers for the event included Grand Regent Dr. Lawrence Brown and Grand Historian Dr. Kali Weaver. Brother Weaver shared the importance of history, weaving into it the first beginnings of the Delta Rho Chapter, as started by the first pledgemaster and founder Dr. John Michael O'Brien, who was also in attendance for the evening. The Delta Rho Chapter unveiled their family tree, as complete from top to the initiates of the Kappa pledge class last year. All Brothers in attendance for the evening were given a commemorative pennant with a custom designed logo by Dr. Daniel Welch.

Welcome to the brand new Delta Rho webpage.

The Delta Rho chapter of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Incorporated was founded in 1998 by John Michael O'Brien and chartered on November 14,1998. The Delta Rho chapter continues to grow every year, pledging the best students of the pharmacy field, in keeping with the traditions of our Fraternity founder, F. Harvey Smith on May 30, 1879. The chapter continues to strive to become the best chapter in the nation.

Delta Rho chapter is one of the 72 collegiate chapters of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Incorporated. Kappa Psi is the oldest pharmacy fraternity, and is the largest as a result of being the oldest, founded on May 30, 1879.

Province IV News

The following awards were given to chapters within Province IV for the 2008-2009 Academic Year:

#1 in the nation - Gamma Psi (Mercer in Atlanta, GA) - Also #1 chapter in Province IV
#7 in the nation - Gamma Phi (University of Georgia in Athens, GA)

Newsflash

Over the past two years the esteemed Delta Rho Chapter has earned many awards and recognitions. Delta Rho ranked 12th out of 75 collegiate chapters for the 2008-2009 academic year and was ranked 5th out of 72 collegiate chapters for the 2007-2008 academic year. Delta Rho received the Frank H. Eby Scholarship Tray Award for the highest GPA of all the collegiate chapters for the 2007-2008 academic year. Delta Rho has also received national recognition two consecutive years in a row, by receiving the Professional Fraternity Association's Outstanding Community Service Award for 2008 and 2009.
